Biography
Sarah Chen leads Truck Graph's safety analysis team, where she oversees data methodology, risk screening algorithms, and carrier risk scoring. Before joining Truck Graph, she spent 8 years as a compliance auditor with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, conducting over 1,200 carrier safety audits across 14 states. Her work at FMCSA focused on new entrant monitoring and chameleon carrier identification — experience that directly informs Truck Graph's risk screening systems. Sarah holds a Master of Science in Transportation Safety Engineering from Northwestern University and is a Certified Director of Safety (CDS) through the North American Transportation Management Institute. She has published peer-reviewed research on predictive safety scoring in the Transportation Research Record and regularly presents at the Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting. At Truck Graph, Sarah is responsible for ensuring that every data point, risk score, and risk indicator meets the same evidentiary standards she applied during federal audits.
